About me

While developing a brand, my colleagues and I were having trouble keeping the aesthetic cohesive. This is when my improv skills came into play, and we played a word association game which helped generate ideas that led to creating a visual language.

My goal as a UX Designer is to create products that are easily used by a diverse group of users and elevate the usability of an existing product. I make design choices based on the research and continually educate myself on the best design practices. Sometimes, I utilize unconventional research tools to understand how users interact with a product and isolate their pain points. For example, when I worked at Banks Engineering, customers struggled to install our automotive parts. To gain a deeper understanding of how people interacted with our products I jumped on YouTube to watch installation videos by customers. From watching, I learned that people discard the printed installation guide immediately. Another pain point was caused by pieces in the products kit (screws, seals, etc.) being changed due to supply chain issues and the printed manual not being updated because it was printed before 2020. The solution I created was an online installation guide that can be quickly updated to reflect part changes and is much more engaging for our customers.

As a UX Designer, I have helped overhaul how users interact with products both tangible and virtual. If you need a collaborative team player eager to create solutions, I would love to chat with you!

Outside of design, I love all things horror and crafting! You better believe I go all out when I decorate for Halloween. In 2022, I made a killer plant to greet trick-or-treaters. I also love going on weekend road trips with my family!
